New Adventures

Well we finally made it! We have been here about a week but its taken that long to get Internet set up. We had a good trip here. Kooper, Pam(Grandma), and I drove the car, Weston drove the 347ft uhaul..ok maybe not that big but it seemed like it! And Kent(Grandpa) drove the truck pulling the snowmobile and trailer, yes it was quite a caravan! We stayed the first night in Grand Junction to brake up the 12 hour drive, and then made it the rest of the way the following day. Kooper was pretty good we only had to make about 2 emergency stops for potty brakes..which was really good I thought!
On day 2 Kooper was not feeling it so we tried to make a few extra stops to get his wiggles out...
We found a little park in Breckenridge that worked....slides, a steering wheel and a few rocks..what more could a boy ask for?
Pam and Kent helped us out so much with the move and getting settled, we really couldn't have done it without them! Thank You!! They were here with us for about 5 days, which was so helpful! We were able to get out a little bit, the town doesn't have a whole lot to offer especially compared to the LA area, I know it will be a huge adjustment! But on the bright side of things we can get our student loans paid off faster since there isn't much to do and then we can move on to where we want to settle down...where ever that might be.
Hopefully in the next few days I will be able to take a few pictures of our house...which I really like (except for some of the paint)! Thanks again for everybody that helped us move and helped with Kooper while packing! We have the best friends and family in the world! Love and miss you all!

Im totally bragging!

OK, so I don't do this very often but I feel like I really have bragging rights with this one.....
So about 4 months ago we bought Kooper a little potty but he wanted NOTHING to do with it, which was fine because I figured once he was ready he would let us know (that's what all my friends kept saying anyway). Well about 2 weeks ago Weston put Kooper in the bath and then went to the bathroom and said to Kooper"see you need to pee in the toilet like daddy and be a big boy" Kooper said,"ok" (aka whatever). About 5 min later he gets out of the bath and sits on his potty and goes! So we of course make a huge deal about it..potty dance and all, but just figured it was a fluke. The next morning he took off his jammys and his diaper..his dry diaper and went pee again all by him self!! Without us even saying a word! So we figured that day we would put undies on him and just see how it went, SUCCESS! He goes when he needs to, and we don't have to say a word! I feel a little ripped off because I was dreading it and so I was thinking of all these prizes I could use to bribe him, I had a cute sticker chart in mind you name it I thought of it.... But NOTHING he didn't need ANYTHING he was just ready! Ok I know its not like he is 12months old and I'm not claiming my child is a genius because he is 2 1/2, and I know it was time but I never thought in a million years that it would be so easy and he would do it all on his own, so yes he is my little genius:)

Trying to feel organized!

Well I havnt blogged for a while because I feel like our lives are sooo all over the place I really dont even know where to begin! We are living with Weston's parents for a few weeks before we start a new adventure in our lives in Colorado!! Weston got a good job offer there so I guess that's where we will be for the next couple of years. So right now we are just enjoying family and friends while we can and of course Wes is studying like crazy for his boards. We have had such a fun summer but it has gone by way to fast! So because Im SOOOO not motivated to blog a good friend of mine just told me to post some pict....So Lauren these are for you! :)

Kooper is getting so big..and way to fast! I love this age, well let me rephrase that, I kinda have a love/hate relationship with this whole 2 year old thing. He has definitely hit the so called "terrible twos" but at the same time says some of the cutest things I have ever heard! For example the other morning at 6:30am( WAAAYYY to early) he comes into our room and crawls in between Wes and I. After a few minutes he starts playing with his toes and says, " this little piggy went to eat, this little piggy went to granmama Aweenes,(aka Grandma Alene) this little piggy went to Granmama Pams, this little piggy went to pizza factory(a bad sign we eat there WAY to much) and this little piggy went we we we all da way home." Wes and I were both half asleep but aware enough to know what he was saying, we both started cracking up! Its a good thing that those little things are enough to weigh out the stubbornness that is sending us all over the edge!!

I came home from work the other day and walked out back to find this!! Grandma is trying to teach him to pee on a rock!!! WHAT THE CRAP??? She said this is how they taught them back in her day:) Thanks Pam!!
Grandmas little helper!

Weston and I at his Graduation! Congrats babe, we are so proud of you and all of your hard work!

Grandma Pam Loves the bounce houses too!

Kooper and his cousin Tayha. My Sister and I threw a 50th surprise party for our cute Mom. It was a blast we had about 60 people come and she had no idea! A special thanks to some of our BFF's the Andersens for letting us use the APEX building and your help with everything else! PS Sorry about Jeter's head!

Catch up post!

WOW! It been a long time! I do so good for about 2 weeks then I fall back off the wagon for months, but to be honest I had a hard time posting because every time I would get on I would read the last post from my sweet little hubby then get sidetracked! We have had so much going on lately, we went to Hawaii with my inlaws, which was a blast, I turned 30(YUCK) had lots of fun with family and friends during the forth...well thats about it, so all the pictures are below are from all those fun times! Our first bowling experience! Kooper loved it..and I cant get over those cute little shoes! Strike!!!
He loved all the candy! All the other little kids around kept giving him all the candy so in the end he had the fullest bag around!!
The fire engines were way to loud!
Kooper has 2 of the best Grandma"ma"s around! He adores both of them and they love to spoil him rotten!
They are both so willing to help with him while I work or even just need a little break! You guys are the best and Kooper is so lucky to have both of you in his life! He is going to feel so lost when we move because you both have been such a huge part of his life! Thank you!
My cute little hubby surprised me with a little birthday barbecue with a bunch a friends and family! We had a great time, Im so thankful for such good family and friends that love me no matter how old and wrinkly Im getting:)
And then there was Hawaii!! Thanks Kent and Pam, we had a blast, it wouldnt have been the same with out you guys!

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!!!!!!!

Well I'm not very skilled at this whole blogging thing like Kristie is. In fact I feel really uncomfortable that I am even writing this post in fear that some of my dude friends are going to see it and pound me when they get the chance, but that is how much I love me wife!! I just want to wish Kristie a happy mother's day. The longer I am married the more I feel like wives really become second mothers to their husbands. Every time I misplace my wallet or shoes she knows exactly where they are....how does she do that?? Every time I get road rage she is there to calm me down. Every time I decide to have a pitty party, she is always there to tell me to get over myself. Kristie really is the prefect blend between best friend and sexy lover. We love her so much that every time she is out of town I am lost...so are my shoes and wallet. She is the best mom!!! I love that she loves to read to Kooper and values his education even though he still poops his pants..... I love that she mixes up her words sometimes...I love that she always without hesitation puts me and Kooper first without ever thinking of herself....I love that she talks to Kooper like he is six and doesn't do that stupid baby talk to him...I love that she loves God and knows Jesus is her Savior...I love that she loves to read her mushy girl novels and cries every time at the exact same spot....I love that she still loves to eat candy but I am pissed she has had only 1 cavity and I have had 12??? I love that she loves me and Kooper and we love her soooooo much and hope she has the best MOTHER'S DAY ever!!! Oh yeah and we wrote a poem for her....( I hope the guys don't read this)

Mother's Plan

Temper bursts, toys fly, he screams!
Mother sighs, comforts and then dreams.
He writes on the walls and destroys all the rugs,
she knows he will be great, she kisses then hugs.
He knows it's wrong, but he is looking for a reaction,
if he only saw in her what she does in him, even a fraction.

A teenager now, other girls he adores,
a mother's love is now ten times more.
Impules are strong, many choices to be made,
her soft, wise voice is there, never to fade.
Times are now spent, he has become a great man,
she knew it all along, it was all part of her plan.
Nothing replaces, the love of mother's heart,
they give all that they have, starting from the start.

We love you Kristie and we are so lucky you you are in our lives!!

The Week of Croup!

So Im sure that every Mom out there agrees with me, but there is nothing worse than having a sick child. I mean of course I feel bad for the little guy..but honestly a whole week at home with no adult interaction and in a 400sqaure foot apt (ok im exaderating its a little bigger) Im about to loose my mind. So anyway my little sweet sick two year old knows that when he is sick he can get away with pretty much anything...why, I dont know I just feel bad for the sick bugger! Im not sure if all kids, or if it's just boys or if it's just mine, but none the less, I have a busy busy boy. Im loading the dishwasher, and Kooper is in his room playing (so I thought) but it was WAY to quiet..not a good sign! I hear the bath room water on, sure enough here he is filling up the empty pepsi can with water just to dump it on the floor..how fun for him...not so fun for mommy to clean up. After cleaning up the mess I come back in the living room to find....

this...He was up on the bar stool because he wanted the popcorn, do you blame him? But why oh why did he have to dump it all over the counter and all over the floor? Is it that hard to say, "mommy can I have a little bowl so I can but some popcorn in it and sit at the bar and eat it nicely???" But honestly how do you get mad at that cute little grin, and really is a little popcorn and water on the floor that big of a deal and then notW to mention there are always cute little moments like

this... When I walk into his room and he is in the middle of his train track with his little hand holding his head up just playing so nice with his trains. I love this little boy more than words can say!

Happy Anniversary

WARNING:::The following is very mushy and may cause you to gag, so if your not in the mood you might as well skip this blog and continue on your blog stocking way:) Im just saying......

Well its about that time that I update my blog again...if you havent noticed Im on the 6 month schedule! And considering its almost Weston and I's 7 year anniversary I thought I would dedicate this post to him:) 7 years WOW, on one hand it seems like just yesterday we were starting our life together but on the other hand we have done so much in the last 7 years that I feel like I cant remember life without you! There isnt a day that goes by that I dont feel like the luckiest girl in the world to have a guy like you! I remember in young womens writing down the qualities that I want in a husband and looking at that list now...you have them all. You treat me like a Queen, you're all about the "little things", you honor your priesthood, you're an amazing Dad, you make me laugh, you are a hard worker...just to name a few. We have had so many good times over the past 7 years, thank you for giving me the best years of my life. There is a little part of a song that always makes me think of you "taking 45 min to kiss me goodnight,(remember that..) I hadn't told you yet but I thought I loved you then. Now your my whole life now your my whole world. I just cant believe the way I feel about you. Stronger than its ever been, we've come so far since that day...and I though I loved you then."
Happy Anniversary Sweet Heart! I cant wait for our next 7 years!

A few cute things..

As you may know we are in a pretty small apartment so when we have guests we just put the pack and play in the bathroom and that is where Kooper sleeps.. Well when our friends Regan, Jenny and their little boy Blake came and stayed this is what we woke up too....
It could have been a lot worse..... Thankfully the bed was dry? Now what do I do when he starts undressing himself? Pottytrain? Im so not ready for that!

Kooper LOVES to dance, its the cutest thing! Anyway when we were at Disneyland this past week I videoed a little clip of his sweet moves! He loves the Disney Parade, its pretty cute!

Last but not least when we were getting ready for the park today, this is what I walked in on him doing...
Wanting to be just like Daddy...

Better late than never...right??

I love the holidays but sometimes Im glad that they are over! I feel like we have been so busy going back and forth we are just ready to be home now for a while! We had a great Christmas, Kooper was so fun, he loved unwrapping the presents, although I think he was a little overwhelmed, he loved it! We also had the opportunity to go to the Rose Parade this year, we had a blast, it was amazing being so close !
This was Koopers Favorite float..he loved the big dog!

The night before the parade...
This is what happens to your car if you choose to drive up and down Colorado street on new years eve!

This was at 11:00 the day before the parade..we had to get our spot!

Weston had been up since 6 that morning so yes he had a red bull.. and that's how you save you r spot..mark in with tape..or chalk..no chairs can be sat out until noon that day!

My dad made this cute little rocking horse, its so cute..Kooper loved it!
After we got home and all the family left Kooper got pretty sick..he has a fever in this picture so that's why his clothes are off. You know he is sick when he falls asleep in a chair if you know him you know he doesn't sit long enough to fall asleep..poor little guy!

My baby is TWO!!

Dear Kooper,
Wow we cant believe you are 2! It seems like just yesterday that we were taking you home from the hospital wondering how we could even love someone so much, now we're sitting here amazed at how much that love has grown! You have no idea how much joy you bring into our home, from early in the morning when you start yelling "hello..hello" from your crib, and then at night when we read stories and you keep wanting "more...more" because you know its time for bed. I feel so blessed that I am able to stay home with you and get to watch you learn and grow. I love that you are my best little buddy! We have so much fun together whether we are taking our weekly trip to Disneyland or just walking to Target to look at the toys, the joy on your face is priceless and just makes my whole day! Thank you for being the little boy that you are, you make us want to be better people. I feel so blessed to be a Mom especially a Mom to the sweetest little boy in the world. We love you Kooper, Happy Birthday Buddy!!
