Our baby is ONE!

One Year ago today our lives changed forever. One year ago today I had never been so scared and so excited all at the same time. One year ago today we witnessed a miracle, his name is Kooper. It seems like is was only yesterday that I was holding your tiny little body in my arms, watching you sleep, and thanking my Father in Heaven that I finally got you here. You have been nothing but a blessing since the day we brought you home. Its amazing how such a tiny little spirit can fill your home with so much love, joy, and laughter. I truly cherish every second that we spend together. I would have never imagined that being a Mom would be the absolute best thing that I have ever done. Thank you for making me want to be a better person, thank you for always making me smile and thank you for giving me the opportunity to be your Mom. Kooper you are so blessed to have so many people that love you so much but most especially your Dad and I , we love you more than you will ever know you make us so proud. Thank you!

EARTHQUAKE

PRELIMINARY EARTHQUAKE REPORT
A moderate earthquake occurred at 8:18:42 PM (PST) on Friday, December 5, 2008.
The magnitude 5.5 event occurred 26 km (16 miles) WNW of Ludlow, CA.
The hypocentral depth is 6 km ( 4 miles).

I have officially felt my first earthquake, it was only for a few seconds but it was defiantly enough to scare the ...... out of me! I think my heart may of stopped and I just froze. I was at the computer and Wes was on the couch, in fact he thought I was shaking it thats how bad it was! A few minutes after I had quit shaking and could think clearly I thought to myself how thankful I am to have our 72hour kits and first aid kits ready to go. There is so much comfort in the thought of feeling somewhat prepared, I'm so thankful for our church for always pushing and pushing "be prepared", if it wasn't for that I really don't think I would have anything prepared if something were to happen. But as far as food storage goes, we will probably starve after 72 hours! :)

Koopers Party!

Kooper isnt officially one yet but when we went home for Thanksgiving we decied to have his birthday party so that family and friends could be there. We had so much fun! Thanks to all the Family and friends that came to support Koop on this special day, we love ya!:) He made the biggest mess, it was pretty funny.

Open House Botique!!!!

Tomorrow night at 5:00, Thursday the 20th we are having an open-house boutique at the Hair Styling Shop at 491 South Main street in Cedar City. There will be fun Christmas gifts, Purses, wallets, wathces, Christmas Home Decor, clocks and a lot more! Bring all your friends and come have a girls night out! See you there!!

Holiday Hair Schedule:)

I just wanted to do a quick post of my holiday hair schedule for those of you who are needing one before Thanksgiving or Christmas, a lot of you just got it done, but you may need a touch up around Christmas. Ill be booking appointments now so you can either call me or leave me a post and I'll get you scheduled! Ill be working November 22-29(besides thanksgiving), and then Ill be back December 15 until the first of January.... Weston gets a pretty good break then, that's why we are staying so long:) Anyway just let me know and we'll get you looking beautiful for the Holidays:) Thanks again to all of you that have been so dedicated!!

Hectic

You know its time to update your blog when you have TWENTY-SEVEN comments!! Its been a little hectic around here lately, good hectic... but hectic! We have had the privilege of having both of our families come and stay with us. My parents came a week before Halloween, we had so much fun! We went to Disneyland which is always a good time, Koop is still a little young to enjoy it but my nieces had a blast! The weather was so nice when they were here so we spent a lot of time at the pool. The week after they came, I went home to work, I stayed so busy it was great(thank you to all of my dedicated clients:)) When we were home it was Koops first Halloween and it was fun to be around family, he got so much candy that he obviously doesn't eat, but don't worry Grandpa Kent took care of that!:) The week after that my in laws came to visit us, we spent a lot of time at the beach, shopping and just being together, it was great!
Sorry about the long post, hopefully things will slow down and Ill have more time to stay updated on life!

Hair Appointment

Just a quick reminder, or for those of you that don't know, I will be coming home to do hair for a week the last week of October. The dates are Oct 27- Nov 1st, but I will also be back the Monday before Thanksgiving (Nov 24th) and I will be staying for 2 weeks!! If you would like an appointment just let me know! Thanks:)

"Your going to miss this"

Yesterday was General Conference which I always look forward to watching, I feel like every time I watch it at least one of the speakers are speaking directly toward me. I loved President Monson's talk for that matter. I find my self so often stressing over small things, like the laundry, the dishes... what to cook for dinner, that it consumes a lot of my time. When President Monson talked about the tiny fingerprints on the newly cleaned surfaces, the piles of laundry or the toys scattered, he said all of that will too soon be gone and it will be missed. I've been thinking about that a lot latley. Kooper will be ten months in a few days and I feel like it was just yesterday when I came home from the hospital scared to death of how I was going to take care of this new precious child. I feel like it was yesterday when he was waking up every two hours to eat, or I would wonder when is he going to smile, or when will he roll over, or when will he crawl, and of course it all came way to fast!!:) I feel so blessed to be able to stay home with Kooper and I know that I need to enjoy every second I get to spend with him because I know that in twenty years from now I will never say I wish I would have done more laundry or kept the house a little cleaner but I can guarantee that I will say, I wish I would have played a little more with my sweet little boy. Time goes by way to fast so make the most of your today!

The Debate

OK.... So anybody that knows me, knows that all this presidential stuff is really not my thing, I have never been way interested in any of it, but i guess when you have a little more time on your hands you get sucked right into it! All day today I have been looking forward to the debate, mainly because I was so sick of the media giving Palin such a hard time! So anybody that watched it knows what an amazing job Palin did! I feel like she is so likable and down to earth where as Biden is your typical politician. Anyway it was really good, I never had any doubt in Palin I knew she could step up to the plate when she needed to most...and she did!!:)

We are just getting to go for our morning stroll, Koop gets so excited to get out he is a big people watcher!
I mentioned before that Kooper loves to just scoot around, its pretty funny, he has gotten so fast! I'm beginning to think that he will never crawl because he can get anywhere by scooting.

Yesterday morning when I was feeding Koop he was being so silly, he laugh was cracking me up so I had to record him for a min. Kids get a kick out of the weirdest things....(don't mind my crazy hair, I think thats what was making him laugh):)

So I promised myself that as soon as we moved I would update my blog more often because I would have so much time on my hands, but before I know it another day has gone by and no updates!!
Well we are back home and Im loving every second of being home with Kooper all day, but I won't lie it is defiantly an adjustment:) It is so fun to watch him doing new things all the time, he is moving all over the place, I would say crawling but its more of an "inching" its pretty funny to watch and its amazing how fast that little turd can go!
Weston is loving school, its so nice that he his finally doing and studying something he loves. Even though he is so busy with school and studying he finds time to spend with Koop and I. It makes my day to see the way Weston is with Kooper.
My visit back home was good, it was so nice to see my family and friends. The stay was way to long we actually missed it here...well mainly Wes:) But we will be back the last week in October so that I can work again.
Well Im really rambling on but next time hopefully it wont be 3 weeks since my last post:)

Change of plans!!

K.. So its a long story but I had to come home a little early(emergency root canal) so now I'm just staying until the 14th of September. Anyway I'm going to work the whole time so if ya need an appointment just let me know:)

Hair Appointment???

I am coming to town on Monday September 8th through Sat the 14th to work. If anybody needs a hair appointment just let me know. Trying to get settled!!

So we are here now and things are good! I know it will take some time to get used to, but I love the area and our place is pretty nice! Kooper is doing good Im so glad that Im able to stay home with him now! He is growing so fast it makes me a little sad:( But at least now Im blessed to have the wonderful opportunity to watch him grow! We went to our ward for the first time on Sunday, it was really good! In fact so good that they asked us to speak in sacrament NEXT Sunday!!! Can you believe it, Im so not a pubic speaker and most of the time Im good at flying under the radar!! It will be good though at least we dont know anybody yet so it cant be that bad.....right?? Well now that I really dont have a life my posts wont be so long! I'll try and keep them shorter in the future!:)

So this is my new life! We go to the pool everyday, as you can tell we are lacking some sun!! He loves the water and it gives us something to do!

Bitter Sweet!

I know that it has been so long since I have posted anything, we have been so busy our lives are officially changing forever!! In the last week we have had so many things going on. We are all out of our house that we have been in for five years :(, we are all moved into our new place in the big city, Weston is done with work, my last day was today(even though Im still coming back for my mvp clients:)) I had my gall bladder out....... It has been so crazy!!! We are still in Cedar until Monday staying with Weston's parents then we are gone for good, so anyway I just wanted to take a second and thank all of our family and friends for all that you have done for us. We have such an amazing family that have helped and supported us through so much, and then not to mention they are all so good with Kooper, he is so lucky to have so much family that just adore him! Even though he is so little I know he is going to miss ALL of you. He will Miss PaPa Kent's noises and of course Grandma Pam, his regular tender, he gets so happy whenever he sees her! (Thanks so much for all that you have done for us, but most of all for raising an amazing son!!) Aunt Jo and Aunt Holly, I think your both his favorite aunts, he loves both of you and he wanted me to tell you thanks for tending him! I really don't know what we would have done with out all of you this past week, you're the reason we even made it through it! We also have such good friends, its going to be hard to find that again. I have met so many amazing people doing hair, and have gotten so close to so many of you, I feel like as a hair stylist you go through so much with people and it makes you that much closer to them, and I know that I have a special bond with each one of my clients...now friends! But I really think the friend I will miss the most is my sweet little Mom, she is the most amazing women I have ever met! I feel so lucky to have the relationship I do with her, and I hope that I will have the same relationship with my kids as I do with her! I know Koop will miss ya and that "crazy" house of yours:)!
We will miss all of you so much, thanks again for all of your support and most of all your unconditional friendships! I will have plenty of time to keep you all updated on our new and exciting adventure we are about to start!

Summer Time!!

I have the best husband, he is so cute with Kooper!!

We all went to my parents house for dinner and after we walked over to a little park, it was so fun! Kooper loves to swing, I think it tickles his tummy so he just laughs and laughs...its so cute!

On Friday we decided to go to St George, we had so much fun, I took my two nieces and Kooper. We went to the little splash park, and the girls loved it. Koop loves to be outside so he just enjoyed watching all the kids.

Happy Birthday Wes!!! Well ok it was over a week ago, but better late than never right..... !! He is 27, wow how time flies, the older we get the faster time goes. When I use to think of late twenties it sounded so old but now I'm starting to think that it is sounding VERY young!!! We had such a good time, all of our family and a few friends came over and we had a barbecue dinner. I love having family so close, I couldn't help but think how much I will miss them when we leave, they are so good to us and its so nice to have them right around the corner when you need them. But then again LA to St George is a short flight, which Im sure they will be making more often than not, not so much to see Wes and I but litte Kooper!:)

It has been forever since I have posted any new pictures so I went a little crazy! I feel like there is not enough time in a day anymore to do all the things that I want to. It still amazes me that such a small little person can take up so much time and at the same time be the most rewarding thing that I have ever done. Yesterday was my first Mothers day, and every time one of my friends text me, or a family member said "happy mothers day", it honestly gave me chills. I love and cherish every second of being a Mom. I am so thankful for Kooper and the sweet little spirit that he brings into our home! I had an amazing day....Thanks Wes, and Kooper!

We went to St. George last weekend, it was so nice! We went shopping for a while then we went to the pool, I think the shopping wore him out so he slept the whole time at the pool!

Kooper is so funny when he eats, not only does he get it everywhere he stores the food in his cheeks so when he smiles it all oozes out!

Big Changes!!!

So I have never been one that likes changes, I don't like others to change around me and I don't like to change things myself!! But I'm trying to have a new outlook on a new change that is about to happen! We just found out on Monday that Weston got accepted to the school of anesthesia at Cal-State Fullerton, we will be leaving good ol' Cedar City in August! I defiantly have mixed emotions about our new adventure. On one hand I am so excited to be in some warm weather, be by a beach, but most of all I get to be a full time mom!! I am looking forward to being with Kooper all day long and watching him grow and learn new things, I have waited so long to get this little one and to be able to be with him all day is such a blessing!...... But on the other had, I do love my job and all my cute little clients! I have been doing hair for 10 years now (i know Im old) and i have met some amazing people and some of my best friends I have got from doing their hair. I will miss my family like crazy. They are so supportive and have been so much help with Kooper, I know he will miss his grandmas and grandpas so much!
It will be good, I know these kinds of things always make you stronger, and I guess I'm ready!! I am so proud of Wes, he has worked so hard for this, and had been so successful in everything he has done! I feel like it was just yesterday that he got accepted into the nursing program at SUU. He is such a hard worker and even though was so nervous at is interview I knew they would love him, he has so much to offer! I love ya babe, and I'm so proud of you. Congrats:)
