Conferecne weekend

I know this post is a little late, but can I just tell you how much we love conference weekend! Not only do I love to listen to all the talks I love that we have an excuse just to stay home and spend quality time as a family! Since Kooper is getting a little older I thought I better give him a little basket of goodies to keep him entertained, it lasted about 15 minutes but hey...better than nothing:)
Pipe cleaner+strainer=Mommy and Daddy getting to listen to at least one talk during conference. What is conference Sunday without a big Sunday dinner? I had the best little helpers making homemade rolls with me...who needs girls to help mommy with the baking...these 2 can bake like nobodys business!!

Thank you pinterest!

Shaving cream+food coloring+paint brushes=45 min. of entertainment! Thank you pinterest!!

Seriously??

Seriously??? I realize that this is a really disgusting post but at the same time its kinda funny and if Karver ever has bowel problems I will know the solution!
So for some reason every time I put him in this little bouncer thing it really has a "relax the bowel" effect. I dont know if after jumping up and down a few times gravity starts to take effect or what but honestly 9 times out of 10 this is what happens........

Nap Time....

I love nap time. I love that 90% of the time the kids are on the same nap schedule. I love the quiet house. I love that every once in a while I get a little nap myself that I so desperately need these days. I love that the house stays clean for 2 whole hours. But most of all I love the few minutes before Kooper's nap that we have together. We read a few books, tell a story, and then he turns toward me wraps his arms around me, we snuggle, and I watch him as he falls to sleep. Yesterday when I was watching him he was about asleep and he gave me a great big smile, so I smiled back. Then he chuckled a little so I chuckled back and then he says,"aaaaawkward." We both got the giggles after that and couldn't stop laughing Does he even know what that means? Probably not, but he sure used it in the right context.
Its the little moments like this that I just want to bottle up and keep forever.

A free ride....

I have been putting Karver in the high chair when I make dinner and he absolutely loves it. But what he loves even more is when his brother takes him on little rides around the kitchen. (Yes Kooper has on Weston's shirt, he told me that he misses him and that makes him feel better, kinda sad but kinda cute)

Preschool and 4 months!!

We have has some big days at our house the past month. Our sweet little Kooper started preschool and he absolutely loves it! His teachers name is Ms. Shelly and she is amazing! I cant believe that he is in school 3 days a week. It is so quiet when he is gone and by 11:30 I'm so ready to pick him up! Kooper has turned into such a sweet little boy, I mean don't get me wrong he has always been kinda sweet but he had his fair share of 3 year old fits....now days they are far and few between. He says the funniest things, I could sit and listen to him all day. He is such a good big brother to Karver and is so protective of him which I never thought would happen 3 months ago!
Our little Karver bud is now 4 1/2 months and growing like a champ! He was having a hard time at night so we started giving him cereal a few weeks ago and you would have thought he had been eating it his whole life! He was so funny, I honestly couldn't shovel it in fast enough and when it was gone and I got up to put the bowl in the sink he started crying because he just wasn't done yet. So cute!
He is at such a fun age, he is so smiley and such a happy little boy....if he is being held:) He loves to put everything in his mouth and if you're holding him he will occasionally do a face dive to eat your nose, eyes...or anything else he can get a hold of.
Karver loves to watch Koop, and is so memorized by everything Kooper does. Kooper can always get him to laugh and smile. I am loving that they are starting to interact more and more everyday.

Summer Time....

We have had such a good summer, Im so sad that it is has about come to an end! My cute little niece McKenna came and stayed with us for a month, and it was HEAVEN having her here! She was so much help...I think I could have 10 kids if I had an 12 year old little girl to help out...okay maybe not 10 but you get the idea:) We had so much fun, we did lots of swimming, shopping, girls days getting pedicures and just hanging out.
One of the weekends we went up to Denver and went to Water World and the Children's Museum. They were both so much fun, Water World was a little hard on Karver but he was a good sport and slept a lot:) Kooper was in heaven at the water park, he isn't scared of anything which kinda worries me!Kenna and Kooper were best buddies all summer! She is so cute with him and he adores her!
The Children's Museum was amazing! There were so many different rooms that had all kinds of activitys for the kids. The fire truck room, the vets office, and the paint room were just a few of them.
I love the picture of Weston showing Koop the x rays of the bones and telling him what they are. I am so lucky to have such an amazing husband that is so good with our kids, he is so hands on and I love it.

Tummy Time....

Well Karver has always hated tummy time and today he has officially figured how to get out of it.... the little stinker started rolling over! Kooper took his time with everything, so we aren't use to this. Karver has really started noticing Kooper so I'm sure he is just trying to keep up!

Update...

Well things are finally looking up at the Swindlehurst residence. I'm sure you read one of the previous posts where Kooper wanted to throw Karver out the window because he was crying.....Well yesterday when we were driving Karver started crying and I hear Koop say in a really really high pitched voice,"it's okay Karver bug we are almost there, don't cry Karver bug we will be there soon."( I have no idea where he came up with Karver bug) So cute! Koop is really warming up to "baby brother" and I love it.

2 Months

I know I'm a little late for Karver's 2 month post but I'm still in catch-up mode!
Our little Karver is such a sweetheart, he is so different than Kooper was when he was a baby. Karver is so much more temperamental! He loves to be held, he hates his swing..bouncer...the floor and he loves to cry! Thanks to my friend Abby we finally found something he actually likes so we can get some things done. It's called a glider and for some reason he LOVES it. He talks to the animals and likes to try and get them. We love his smile it lights up his whole face and when he is smiling really big he has the cutest dimples ever!
A few weeks ago Karver gave us quite a scare. Long story short, he woke up with a fever and so his pediatrician had us take him to the ER because it was too high for an infant. They took so much blood from him, poked both of his arms and his little foot. They also attempted to a spinal tap 3 different times to test him for spinal meningitis but couldn't get a clear sample. Because they couldn't rule out spinal meningitis they admitted him up to the pediatric floor to watch him overnight. This was probably one of the hardest couple days that I have ever had being a Mom. Seeing him in so much pain and having a cry like I have never heard before broke my heart. I was an emotional wreck, luckily I have an amazing husband that could step in for me when I just couldn't take it anymore, but then coming back in the room and seeing tears in Weston's eyes after having to watch his little boy having to go through so much about killed me. He is such an amazing Dad and I'm so thankful that he is so strong when I can't be. I'm most especially thankful that he was able to give Karver a Priesthood blessing and knowing that everything would be okay with our little boy. Everything did turn out being okay, it was just a little virus and I'm so thankful!
Karver is growing so up so fast! His stats for his 2 month check up were.....
Weight--11lbs 14oz 60th percentile
Height--26 in 98th percentile
Not sure about his head stats...his pediatrician is great but very old school and she about forgot to give me those stats:)
So he is tall and skinny! He only wakes up about 1 time a night to eat which is SOOO nice! Kooper is starting to warm up to him, he loves to get Karver's hands and play patty cake, Karver LOVES it..he just grins the whole time! There are times that if Karver is crying Koop will put his bink in his mouth and be so proud! I'm so excited for these two little guys to be best buddies!Hates his bouncer..the second I put him in this he SCREAMS!His Swing....He hates! The glider...he loves, he honestly smiles the whole time! So cute!
Kooper can always get Karver to smile, it is the most precious thing to listen to Koop talk to him!Relaxing on a Sunday afternoon...our favorite! I love my boys!

Continued trip from Utah.....

PaPa and Karver had lots of bonding time:)
This picture was from our lake trip, but it was the highlight of Koopers trip, "the Capetian"(that's what Kooper kept calling Sage) let Kooper drive the boat! He is still talking about it!
We made a few trips to St. George to the splash pad...so fun!

It's impossible to get all the kids to look at the camera at the same time! We had so much fun with the twins, one of Kooper's best little buddies Blake and then we brought along Kaylee, Kooper's cousin she was the best little helper with all the kids.... we all had a blast!
Then of course the "jumpy house" this is by far one of Kooper's favorite places, he could bounce for hours!

Lots of playdates....

FINALLY....they are all looking!!

We had such a good trip, we always love seeing family and friends! We drove home and it was a LONG 12 hour drive! We stopped at Breckenridge to get some wiggles out. We rode the gondola to the top of the mountain and then the kids (and Weston) rode the Alpine slide. It was a nice little break. We brought my neice McKenna home with us and it has been so nice! She is such a big help, I dont know if I can let her go back home in August!
