M.I.A.

I know that we have been out of the blogging world lately and I have been getting slack from my wonderful mother in law..:) about me not up-dating more often..so this one is for her. We have been a little busy lately, first of all Weston and I were able to go to Hawaii during his week break. We left Kooper home with grandmas and sister(thank you again) we had an amazing time, it was so good to have time alone even though we missed Koop like crazy.

A few weeks after we got back, Westons parents came to town, we had a blast with them, they always spoil us rotten so they are welcome anytime:) We went to Universal Studios, Kooper was scared of all the characters is was pretty funny!


Kooper found this truck up on a shelf in his room(it was for his birthday), he climbed up on the filing cabinet and pulled it off the shelf and brought it out to us with that naughty little smile that he does so well!!

So I love this laugh, every time I listen to it it makes me laugh.. apparently I was pretty funny hitting him on the head. There is nothing better than that uncontrollable laugh that kids do!

Its been a while!

Wow this summer has flown by, I cant believe it is the middle of August!Its been forever since I have updated so beware this will be a long boring post... We have been gone for a year now and wow what a year! Weston is doing great in school, he is loving ever minute of it. I am so proud of him, he has worked so hard to be where he is at and its so nice that it is finally paying off. He has already gotten a few job offers which is amazing considering he just finished his first year but at the same time it doesn't surprise me one bit because he is good at what he does and he just has a way with people. Most of the hospitals around here have lots of Philippino nurses and doctors and so when they find out that he speaks their language they instantly fall in love with him. I don't think that he thought his mission language would ever come in handy but around here there isn't a day that goes by that he doesn't use it! We both feel so blessed that we have had the opportunity to come to school here, we have fallen in love with the area, and have made some amazing friends! I have loved staying home with Kooper, don't get me wrong I have had my moments...like today at singing time, he wouldn't sit still for 2 seconds and then throws one of those fits that others look at you like....do something with that child and then shake their heads in pitty... I know you know what I'm talking about because I was the queen of doing that...that's why i have one of those fit throwing children now. But at the same time all he has to do is look at me with those big blue eyes and smile and it just melts my heart! He is growing so fast it makes me sad but he has got the cutest personality I love it! I'm still going back home and working about every 7 weeks, and that has worked out so good thanks to my wonderful family and friends that have helped out with babysitting I really couldn't do it with out you guys...Thank you so much! Speaking of working Im heading back home to work Aug 20-27 if you need an apt:) Anyway thats about it.

Girls Trip! (plus Kooper)

This last week some of my friends and I went to Palm Springs and spent the night. We had a blast!! The place was so nice we should have stayed several nights, not one of us were ready to come home! The only thing that was missing from our amazing trip was our good friend Lauren and her two little kidos, Ethan & Kate...Next time you guys are there for sure!!:)The kid pool was great, it was only a foot deep, so the kids loved it, especially Sienna:)
This is Koopers new girlfriend, they were sharing crackers and dipping it in cheese and then dipping their licorice in cheese...how romantic!!



He is such a boy... do you see the girls throwing the foam pieces on the slide... NOOO... they are laying by the pool getting their tan on like good little girls!!!

And to top it all off my friends surprised me with balloons a happy Birthday sign and the most delicious cupcakes in the world. Thank you so much, you guys made the trip, I couldn't ask for better friends!

In loving Memory...

Fifteen years ago today my little brother Cody was hit and killed by a car, it was honestly one of the hardest days of my life. For some reason some years are a little easier than others, I always miss him but I think as time goes by it still hurts you just learn to deal with the loss a little better. Today has been a little harder than others, I really think its because I now have a child of my own and to even think about something like that about rips my heart out. The love that you have for your own children is unexplainable and I have no idea how my amazing Mother made it through that difficult time. She is such an example to me and I'm so thankful for her courage of getting through that when at times I'm sure that she just didn't want to go on. I'm also so thankful my knowledge of the Gospel, and the comfort that it gives to me to know that I will see him again. Love you and miss you Cody!!

Ok so, Im SOOO over do, every time I post a new post I pledge to do better....but here I am once again way behind! We have been so busy with family coming to visit then of course me going back and forth to work, I feel like I have just been on the go for so long its really time to slow down!! So if your not in the mood to look at a bunch of random pictures you might as well just skip this blog and head to the next.

My sister in law and her family came to visit a few weeks ago, we had so much fun. We went down to San Diego to go to Lego Land then went to Disney Land.
Lego Land was ok, but Koop was too little for all most ALL of the rides so we actually left early and went to our hotel so he could nap.... so if your kids aren't at least 5 or 6 dont waste your time:)
I hate that San Diego is always so cold! Whenever we see a carousal Kooper gets so excited and he has to ride it...This one really lasted like ten minutes... poor Wes!He loved all the rides at Disney Land, his favorite was Pirates of the Caribbean. The only hard part was teaching him that we have to WAIT in line... he doesn't get it!
And last of all just a random bath picture that i think is cute! Gosh I love this kid...even though he has been trying to get molars for about a week now and all I hear is whine whine whine.....(is that how you spell it)

My Hubby is getting old!!

Happy Birthday Wes, I cant believe it your 28 your getting so old. Im so sorry that Im not with you on your Birthday but I hope you know how much I love you. I really cant believe how lucky I am to have married my best friend, a best friend that I love more than life, a best friend that makes me happier than I could have ever imagined, a best friend that helps me become the person that I want to be and a best friend that loves me no matter what! Im so proud of you for doing so good in school, you are such a hard worker no wonder they all love you:)I love that no matter how busy you get with school and clinicals you always make time for your family. Thanks for being such a good Dad, the best part of my day is when you come home and Kooper gets the biggest smile on his face and runs to you with his arms open. I hope you have a wonderful Birthday, I love that I get to be the person to grow old with you:) Your amazing at everything you do and Im so proud to say that Im your wife!!

Im officially one of "THOSE" moms!!!

Ok, so before I had a kid I always thought that I would never be one of those moms that would just give into their screaming child, or just give them things to have a little bit of peace and quiet for thirty seconds..... but this last week or so I have officially turned into one of "those" moms. I think Koop is getting some more teeth so he has been so fussy and needy, and I really can only take so much of that, which results into doing whatever it takes, whether it be.........

and if that doesn't work, I think to myself "what makes me happy when I'm sad".... oh yea baby a fresh diet coke!!!!! Works every time:)
(In my defense we don't eat at burger king, in fact I hate that place but I was desperate for a diet coke and it is way to much work to get Koop in and out of the truck so we resorted to their drive- thru! And one more thing, the drink was pretty much gone I think he just likes the straw:)

5 SIGNS THAT YOUR SON NEEDS A HAIR CUT!!

#1. Its getting so unruly and no matter how much gel you use it still look like a frizz ball.

#2. Your having sudden urges to put it in piggy tails just to see what it would look like, but you know if your husband caught you he would have a come apart:)

#3. When you get his hair wet it looks like this down his back...
#4. Thirty year old man at the pool says to you," oh my gosh that is the cutest little girl I have ever seen." (mind you, he has on board shorts and a quick silver t-shirt)

#5. When he wakes up from his nap he looks like this, and everyday it gets worse and worse!!

Does life ever slow down??

Well I just got back from China on Sunday, and now its time to go back home to work again. Its so hard to leave Wes but I love getting back and catching up with with clients, friends, and family. Its Weston's Spring break so he gets to come with me for a few days this time, Im so happy because to be honest I really don't know if I could leave him again! So anyway I will be doing hair from Friday March 27th until April 6th. If you didnt get my email and need an appointment let me know.

CHINA!!

I have been such a slacker blogger!! So from now on Im really going to try harder! Over the past 8 days I have have had the opportunity of being in China... yes CHINA, what an experience! I went with my mother and father in law and my sister in law. We had such a good time, the only down side was leaving my baby and hubby for that long, it was SOOO hard! Thankfully my mom came to my house to watch Kooper while Wes was in school, so Im sure he had a blast. Being over there makes me realize how much that I take for granted, Im so thankful to live in the United States, and to be able to have the beliefs that I want, have as many kids as I want, and most importantly have a toilet:) Here are just a few pictures of a few of the places we visited, my camera would not charge half way through the trip, so my sister in law has the rest. My two favorite places were the Great Wall of China and the Terracotta Warriors.

And then my camera died.... Thanks Weston and Mom for letting this trip happen, I knew everything was taken care of, all though I missed you like crazy I didnt have to worry one bit. I also had great travel partners (bunkies) that made this trip a blast!
