Once there was a snowman....

So last week we had quite a bit of snow, and everyday Kooper had been begging to go out and play in it but it has just been way too cold. So on Sunday when we got home from church it was so warm and all the snow was melting so Weston told him if he would hurry and go change his clothes and put his boots on they would build a snowman before all the snow melts...next thing we know we hear the front door shut and so we went running out to find this.......As you can see he was way excited..didnt even have time to put his pants on:)Yes his gloves are about 5 sizes too big but for some reason he LOVES them and wouldn't let us put on the gloves that fit...he has a mind of his own!So Proud! (Kind of a scary snowman...but look how proud they are, especially Daddy)
Daddy giving Kooper "5" for his first snowman!
I love these boys!

Happy Valentines Day!

Well we have kinda been celebrating Valentines Day all weekend, it has been great! We started off by Koop having a little Valentine Party with his friends, he loved it...How hard is it to get this kid to have a cute smile....apparently when I say "smile Koop" this is his version!Okay this smile is pretty cute, finally:)Yes..he has a mouth full of candies:)Daddy got breakfast in bed on Sunday, Kooper was such a big helper...he loves to surprise his Daddy! And what is Valentines Day without sugar cookies! Kooper made this cookie all by himself, its my kind of cookie...a little cookie, WAAYYY to much icing, and sprinkles to top it off!
Mommy got breakfast in bed today, with the cutest "love note" I have ever read, that's just one of the reasons Im so in love, my cute little hubby knows Im all about the "little things"! 8 years ago today I got engaged to the man of my dreams, he has actually been better than anything I could have ever dreamed of, he has it all....He is perfect, perfect for me!
Chocolate covered strawberries...yummy! I love my little helper! And to top the day off Koop and I made a special dinner for Daddy!
Happy Valentines Day!

Cruise!

This last week Weston and I were able to go on a cruise, thanks to Grandma Alene and a few friends that helped with Kooper. We went with Weston's parents and had such a good time. Its so different to travel once you have kids, before you just pick up and go not a worry in the world... now you can either take them with you, which is fun but if your looking for a relaxing/lay around vacation that just doesn't happen with a 3 year old! But then if you leave them home that's all you do is just worry, hoping that they are ok, and not sad, and being good...bla bla bla its just a no win situation! But despite missing Koop like crazy we had a blast! We ate way too much, layed around a lot, got a lot of sun and then ate some more! On about our 3rd night my ankles started swelling so bad, I think I just had way to much sun and not enough water plus a lot of salty food..not a good combo for a prego lady! By the end of the trip I had no ankles aka cankles and I couldn't even bend my poor toes, it was pretty sick! Luckily they are back to normal, but just a side note after looking at all our picts I think my whole body was swollen maybe I'm just in denial but lets just say I'm swollen for the record:)
This is the first beach we went to, it was on the Island of St. Martin. If you know anything about the island it is owned by the French and the Dutch so half the beach is where all the French hang out. On our way there they told us that the French side was a nude beach and I was just thinking topless.... I was TOTALLY wrong!
Wes and I had deiced to go on a little walk up the beach, we saw a few topless people here and there but then we came to a group of rocks you cross, you actually don't even realize you cross it until BAM... the..what we like to call "the greeter" says hello, trust me you CANT miss him! We took a few steps and realized we were in the middle of the nude beach. What a different culture, I cant even imagine..I mean they were old, (really old..sick), young, kids, pregnant women...you name it they were there. We obviously turned around and went right back but I was just amazed at how natural it was for all of them.
We had such a good time with Weston's parents, Im so lucky to have such good in laws! They have always made me feel so comfortable around them..all though Im sure at times they regret it:)
The formal nights were fun, Im sure it would be funner(is that a word) if I was about 30 lbs lighter...but at the same time I wouldn't trade my big belly and swollen body... remember Im just swollen:) for the world!
My cute little hubby! We had such a good time together! I love being able to go on trips and just spend time with my best friend in the whole world! I love that he still makes me laugh so hard I cry, I love that at night we could just have "pillow talk" for hours, and I love that he just loves me and doesn't hesitate a bit to show it. Im one lucky girl!
This is one of our Philippino waiters, there are so many Philippino's on the ship and Weston is in Heaven being able to speak to them all in their language. Its so fun to see there reaction, they instantly fall in love with him every time. A few of the Philippino's that we met even had chocolate covered strawberries sent to our room.
We could have never done this with our my family and friends that helped out so much! I had one tired Moma when I got home, I think she forgot how busy a 3year old boy was. But she did such a great job...so good that Im paying the consequences this week, to say the least he was SPOILED rotten, but then again what are Grandparents for?? Thanks again!

Steamboat Springs

Wes had a couple of days off for New Years so we took advantage of that and took a little mini trip! One of our timeshares is in Steamboat so we thought we would take Kooper skiing and sledding and just have a nice weekend. We had such a good time, Kooper loved all the snow, a lot of times it was above his head and -5 degrees but he could care less. The skiing part was a little frustrating Im not sure how those ski school instructors do it? I do have to give him credit he did pretty good for his first time, I guess Im just a little mad because I had the whole day pictured like this....Wes and Koop go skiing while mom sits in the lodge next to a cozy little fire place sipping on hot coco, reading a book and maybe even getting a nice little massage for this pregnant body of mine, but nooooo instead mom had to hike 10 miles to the bunny hill, carrying all Koopers crap in -10 degree weather and stand at the bottom freezing my you know what off,( okay maybe Im exaggerating just a little) because we knew he wouldn't last more than a few runs and who else was going to take picts? I mean he just turned 3 shouldn't he be doing jumps and moguls by now??
Right before the big ski day!
Just waiting for the shuttle....he is ready to hit the slopes!
Koop was having a hard time walking in his boots and was going soooo slow so his cute little Daddy came to the rescue and carried him...it was a long walk, I wanted someone to carry me:)
He loved the magic carpet!
Kooper's first run!
After a few runs he would go by himself for a few seconds, he was so proud!
Right here he is clapping, he is so proud of himself! So precious! It made it all worth it, gran it I would have loved a massage but to see this little guy be so proud...priceless!
Love my boys! I cant imagine my life without them, I look forward to what this New Year brings! Im so excited to add another boy into the mix and most of all Im excited to make many more memories of our lives together! Love you two!! Happy New Year!!

Chirstmas 2010

We had such a good Christmas, I was a little worried considering it was the first time in 30 years not being around my family but we were lucky enough to have Weston's parents come out for a few days. We had such a good time, the day after they got here we went to Denver and stayed downtown. We actually had never been up that way so it was fun to see something new. On Christmas Eve morning we went to the Denver Aquarium and we got to have breakfast with Santa, it was so cute and Kooper was so excited. We then had a full day of shopping and loved just being together.
The best part for me was setting out all of Kooper things, for reason I think its so fun... this year was just so different because he really knew what was going on. On Christmas morning we woke Kooper up at 5:30am because Weston was on call and just in case he got called in we wanted to make sure we got to do our Christmas with him. Anyway Koop was so fun, a little overwhelmed I think but he was so excited for his new toys. I think between the Grandparents and Aunts and Uncles that spoil him he just got way too much and just wanted to play, he got sick of un-wrapping about half way through.
Then to top it all off, sure enough Weston got called in right at 7 and was at the hospital until the next morning at 7. Im so thankful that his parents were here, I think I would have been having a pity party all day if it weren't for them, they were great all day. They are so much help with Kooper and of course Kooper adores them. We had a great Christmas dinner (thanks to the in laws, allthough I did make homemade rolls) and had a blast playing with Kooper and all his new toys!
All in all we had such a great Christmas, I really wish I could have seen the rest of my family, it wasn't the same with out them, and we missed them like crazy, but I loved starting our own traditions!
I love this one, Kooper is so excited to show Santa the list of things that he wants!
Weston and his cute little Dad!
Our land lord gave Kooper that Elmo stuffed animal for Christmas, and for some reason Elmo had to go everywhere with Kooper in the Jeep. To be honest I'm not sure he has even seen Elmo?
As soon as it got light enough outside we had to get out there to try out they new "barbie jeep" and yes he still calls it that...its so funny, maybe I need to show him what a barbie is??
We live at the end of a street and its a dead end, I love that because there is no traffic and Kooper just rides all around! And yes, my belly is growing at a rapid rate:)

Christmas Time!

I love this time of year! It all starts with black Friday, yes that is almost better than Christmas for me even though a lot of the time I have most of it done, its just the thrill and of course you can always find something that is a good deal:)
This year has been especially fun because Kooper is at such a good age. I love that I can some what use the.."Santa's watching you better be good" tactic. I have been waiting my whole life to use that! I love that he knows the Christmas songs and always wants us to sing them with him, preferably "Rudolf." I love that his favorite thing to do at night is "go look at the pretty decooooations." I love that before he can even open his eyes in the morning the first thing we have to do is open a square from that little event count down calender and he may or may not get the little chocolate before breakfast (don't judge its the holidays)!
Kooper loves Santa, he gets so excited when he sees him, whether its a fake Santa or a real Santa. He has been able to sit on 2 Santa's laps, he loves it but at the same time he gets a little shy and will just whisper what he wants to him. This year he wants a "blue barbie jeep" thanks to his cute little friend Kaydence. She has a pink one and for a long time...like months he has said he wants a pink barbie jeep, then this past month or so he has realized that pink is for girls so now he wants a blue barbie jeep.
Im looking forward to Christmas morning and seeing his cute little face, its amazing how much kids bring such a special spirit into the Holidays. Happy Holidays!
We got to go to the "North Pole!" Kooper had a blast, he can't stop talking about it.
It had so many cute little rides.....
Even if your not so little......
Thumbs up!!
Kooper was looking at the reindeer, we were on a train ride and they have a bunch of reindeer off to the sides of the train. It was really cute!
He was being really funny about this Santa, he didnt want to get too close. I love the look on his face!
Feeding the deer...
Last but not least the CANDY CANE COASTER!! Kooper loved this little roller coaster, I think he might be a thrill seeker like his father....great!
This is what happens after a long hard morning at the North Pole......sound asleep!! YAY!!
